Clwb Rygbi Harlech is based in the small coastal town of Harlech on the Llyn Pensinsula between Porthmadog and Barmouth. The club which was founded 40 years ago in 1969 will be celebrating this during 2009 with Dinners, Games and Events throughout 2009. The club has a long and successful history in the game of rugby, with a 1st XV, Youth and U15 teams and boasts a number of trophy's. In 2008 the club won promotion to a more demanding league where the game played is to a much higher standard, the knock on affect has been a much more solid and interesting game being played by the 1st XV.
The club has a solid support foundation with over 60 Vice Presidents, all ex-players or supporters from Harlech and the surrounding area as well as members who have moved away but wish to maintain their contact with the club. The club has a strong commitment with the local community and works with other community organisations in developing sports throughout the local area.
The club would welcome the opportunity of playing touring clubs at Harlech and could promise them an excellent time both on and off the pictch. They are also keen to look for clubs that would be willing to host a short tour in 2009 for Clwb Rygbi Harlech after a very successful tour to Eire during 2008.
